National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2022

Eagle Transport hazmat professionals fuel vacations, commutes, emergency vehicles, and more. We are incredibly proud of the millions of safe miles our team members drive each year, and we are thankful to contribute to the driving force propelling our nation forward.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week sets aside time for America to pay respect and thank all professional truck drivers for their commitment to undertaking one of our economy's most demanding and vital jobs. These 3.6 million professional drivers deliver our goods safely, securely, and on time, keeping our highways safe.

There were 10.23 billion tons of freight transported by truck in 2020, representing 72.5% of total domestic freight by weight. Americans across the country have taken extraordinary steps to show appreciation for the vital work that professional truck drivers have done as we continue navigating through the impact of COVID-19.

In 2020, there were 3.97 million tractor-trailers (including tractors and straight trucks) in operation. Eagle currently operates 500 power units (day cabs and sleepers), serving our clients throughout the Southeast.

Did you know that Eagle drivers also transport the pellets used to create plastic bottles, other materials, and chemicals? From supplying the materials to keep your family hydrated on the go to delivering the fuel that makes your car run, Eagle drivers play an integral role in your daily life! We are thankful for our team of drivers and every Eagle employee that supports our drivers. Your hard work and dedication keep us moving forward each day! From crude oil to fuel and chemicals, our drivers belong to an elite team of hazmat professionals that constantly work to ensure that our country continues to drive, fly, and operate efficiently every day.
