Margaret Narron Retires After 50 Years at Eagle

After 50 years of dedicated service to Eagle Transport Corporation, Zip Mart, and Stallings Oil, we are excited to celebrate Margaret Narron's retirement.

"With mixed emotions, we announce Margaret's retirement after 50 years of distinguished service to Eagle Transport and Stallings Oil," President and COO Lance Collette said. "We will surely miss Margaret, her welcoming conversations, hugs, and snacks that were always at the ready. With Margaret's flair for art and passion for her family and home, we are sure that this next chapter will be most fulfilling; we wish her the very best and insist on a visit whenever she is in the neighborhood."

Margaret began her career as an accounts payable clerk with Stallings Oil in mid-1974 and transitioned to Eagle Transport Corporation at the beginning of 1999. Over the years, her willingness to help, do whatever is asked, and make sure each new team member felt welcome were among the intangible qualities she brought to our team daily.

"It's hard to imagine Eagle and Stallings without Margaret's unwavering commitment, wisdom, and passion," Senior VP and CFO Joe Duncan said. "Margaret has truly been the heart of our team, leaving a legacy of kindness, hard work, and professionalism that will inspire us for years to come. Her contributions have shaped this company in immeasurable ways, and while she'll be deeply missed, we celebrate this well-deserved new chapter in her life."

As we celebrate Margaret's impact on our company throughout her career, we know she has been the heart of our Rocky Mount office. Her kindness and presence have made a lasting impact on all of us through her work contributions, warm hugs, endless snacks, and bright smiles. Please join us in wishing Margaret the best in her well-deserved retirement after a half-century of service to Eagle Transport.
