On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Eagle Transport Corporation held an open house to celebrate the opening of a new facility in Kingsport, Tennessee.
“We have been very blessed with this new facility, and it has been great to see a lot of visitors, customers, and vendors coming through the open house,” Kingsport Terminal Manager Jaime McClellan said. “We are looking for a lot of growth here in Kingsport with new drivers joining us, plus new lanes coming our way. We are ready to serve the community, and we are excited to see what the future holds.”
Eagle opened its first location in Kingsport in 2011, and for the past three years, we have had our sights set on building a new location to better serve the chemical division. This new terminal is our first facility built specifically for chemical operations and will allow for in-house tank testing, inspection, and pneumatic tank cleaning.
“Kingsport is the first of Eagle’s plan to build several chemical-focused operations in the future,” President and COO Lance Collette said. “This is a purpose-built facility for our growing chemical business, providing a more comfortable space for our Kingsport team.”
Looking ahead, Eagle plans to renovate the terminal in Port Everglades, Florida, next to serve our southern customers better and take care of our South Florida team members.
We appreciate all of the Eagle team members, customers, vendors, and community members who joined us in celebrating the new Kingsport, Tennessee facility!
