Eagle Transport Corporation entered the Tennessee petroleum market in the early 2000s and strategically positioned its locations to maximize its serviceable areas throughout the state and surrounding regions. In addition to its primary terminal locations, Eagle Transport Corporation has 11 satellite locations, and its drivers branch out across the state and into Kentucky.
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Eagle entered the Tennessee market in 2003 by acquiring Golden Gallon’s fleet, including a team in Chattanooga. We were able to retain the majority of the original team in this transition, which helped us start on the right foot in this market. At the time, we had less than ten trucks and less than 20 drivers serving our new Chattanooga customer base.
Today, we primarily haul petroleum and dry bulk products, but Eagle operated a "short truck" or tank wagon for several years due to a significant kerosene business opportunity in this area back in the day. Since 2003, our Chattanooga terminal has grown to almost 30 team members, with 14 trucks and 17 trailers!
Nashville, Tennessee
We added Nashville to the Eagle map in the same Golden Gallon's fleet acquisition that brought us into Chattanooga. In the early days of our Nashville terminal, we leased space from a wrecker service, operating half a dozen trucks out of a trailer on a dirt lot with a shipping container for storing tires and other necessities.
Since 2003, our Nashville terminal has grown to almost 30 team members with more than 20 trucks, and we are excited about the work they are doing to continue growing Eagle in this market!
Knoxville, Tennessee
In the mid-2000s, Eagle acquired Eastern Tennessee Transport and joined the Knoxville market with five trucks and less than ten drivers operating out of a trailer. As our team grew to serve more customers and employ more drivers, we moved into a permanent terminal in 2012, where our team still operates.
Today, our Knoxville team consists of 50 industry professionals, and we were proud to see our Knoxville drivers spring into action and help deliver fuel to first responders after Hurricane Helene's damage in Eastern Tennessee!
