With our continued expansion and growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Center Technician to join our team in Selma, NC.


In this role, you'll work to install new equipment, manage vehicle fluids, and out-service equipment while gaining hands-on skills to support a specialized fleet

Job Duties

  • Perform essential maintenance, including DOT inspections on heavy-duty fleet vehicles and equipment.

  • Clean and maintain assigned work areas, including common shop areas and facility grounds, e.g., maintain recyclables, address fluid spills, and organize bulk storage of tires and barrels.

  • Dispense vehicle fuels and other essential fluids.

  • Complete required forms and input required information into the fleet management information system in a timely manner.

  • Maintain fleet equipment as needed (cars, light trucks, class 8 trucks, petroleum/chemical/bulk/flatbed trailers)

  • In-service new fleet equipment consisting of decal install, telematics installs (camera, tablet/HOS equipment, tire pressure monitoring), perform PDI, and install product pumps as needed (shaft driven, hydraulic, or pneumatic).

  • Out-service equipment removed from the fleet consisting of removing all the above items, prepping the unit for sale, and making DOT repairs.

  • Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including but not limited to lubrication and oil changes; seat repair; brake, wheel, tire, and battery services; belt, hose, headlight, and basic component replacement.

  • Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical/electrical problems.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (Preference for applicants with a commercial driving license and the ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical).

  • Previous experience supporting fleet: preventive maintenance, tire rotation, or other related duties.

  • Personal toolbox and hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.

  • Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule.
