At Eagle Transport Corporation, we are continuing to grow our team in the Southeast, and hiring enthusiastic, goal-minded team members is critical to our success. This position will report to the President and provide administrative support to all Executives, the COO, and Regional Management. This position plays a key role in providing the best customer experience to both our internal leadership team and our external customers in support of Eagle’s Core Values.

This position is on-site at our corporate headquarters in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.


General Job Duties:

  • Provide direct administrative support for the President, all Executives, and Regional Managers as required.

  • Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks, serving a vital role for the flow of information between customers, field team members, and corporate staff.

  • Complete and manage travel reservations for the leadership team and other company team members as required.

  • Plan & coordinate other corporate office meetings, celebrations & events, as well as community outreach initiatives, including catering for luncheons and such.

  • Maintain budget for our on-site fundraising committee to support community outreach.

  • Create analytical reports with varying difficulty using advanced Excel features.

  • Coordinate and complete various internal, company-based projects within assigned deadlines.

  • Assist with processing expense reports and obtaining receipts.

  • Match receipts with corporate credit card expenditures.

  • Work with our Terminal Managers at our 20+ Terminals throughout the Southeast and into Texas.

  • Maintain an appropriate level of office supplies and necessary items for our break rooms and conference rooms.

Work with the Marketing Team:

  • Handle logistics of all Marketing Team events from pre-planning, including but not limited to registration, reservations, payments, assessing vendor participation, establishing partnerships with equipment vendors, fulfilling sample requests, researching additional opportunities related to each show, preparing all marketing materials, and scheduling display shipping.

  • Coordinate ticket delivery, catering, and other logistics related to sporting event suite attendance in coordination with our Marketing team.

  • Work with the Marketing Team to secure, develop, and execute trade shows.

  • Manage inventory of marketing items, such as clothing, sales brochures and fliers, and marketing directory items.

  • Upon conclusion of each event, assign all leads to appropriate sales team members, and submit the lead report to the VP of Marketing. Analyze the effectiveness for the following year's consideration of participation and submit the show evaluation.

  • Track, analyze, and cost-effectively manage all expenses relate to trade shows and other events.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to prioritize and plan tasks.

  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.

  • Ability to write and proof reports, presentations, correspondence, and procedures.

  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing event concepts and designs.

  • Proficient in computer literacy, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook Calendar.

  • Prior experience delivering projects on time and within budget, without close supervision.

  • Post-high school education from a college or technical school with 3-5 years related experience strongly preferred

  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
