Eagle Transport Corporation | Accounts Receivable & Billing Analyst

Eagle Transport is looking for an Accounts Receivable and Billing Analyst to join our finance team. The analyst is responsible for understanding customer contracts and fee schedules, ensuring freight bills are processed and invoiced accordingly, and managing timely customer collections. It is preferred that the successful candidate has experience working in accounts receivable or billing. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of the finance team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly billing and accounts receivable functions to ensure freight bills are processed timely into accurate invoices and customer account balances are current.

  • Conduct daily and weekly audits to catch and resolve both systematic and manual billing errors as they occur via analytical procedures. Accuracy and timeliness are critical to the efficient resolution of billing issues.

  • Exercise professional judgment and positive communication with customers regarding billing issues and resolving past-due accounts.

  • Research and resolve billing inquiries, freight rate discrepancies, and/or other billing and traffic-related requests; review data for deficiencies or errors.

  • Review customer contracts, rate addendums, and fee schedules to ensure associated revenues are properly recognized and customers adhere to mutually agreed-upon terms.

  • Works cross-functionally with Pricing, Sales, Operations, and our customers to onboard new customers/locations and establish accurate billing/invoicing practices on day one.

  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Higher education coursework in Business or Accounting is preferred.

  • Two to three years of demonstrated accounts receivable and/or billing experience.

  • Strong MS Office Suite required, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook; proficiency in MS Excel and data entry, speed, and accuracy required.

  • IBM iSeries/AS400 and/or other ERP and transportation management systems experience is a plus.
